Name: Chiqui (Pronounced Chee-key)
Age: Five months
Height: 50 cm
Species: Holut
Holuts:
A holut is a fictional race of creatures I invented over three years ago, when I lived in Honduras. They basically are sentient plant matter. You can have a leaf Holut, a cherry Holut, a flower Holut, even a root Holut. They were created in an accident by one of the characters in one of my worlds, (that of Halfling, a now defunct comic), so they are an artificial species, of magic infused into plant matter. Holuts have an amazing ability to sing, and will attach emotionally to a caretaker, trilling and communicating to it with sounds like a pet cat, but through clicks, sings, songs, and wails. They can't actually form any words. Their food depends on what type of Holut they are, but they can eat human food with no problem, generally.
Personality:
Chiqui is just a baby, really. He's a hardy little fellow, but he needs coddling and care. He will whine when he wants something, cry petulantly if something doesn't go his way, but purr happily in the arms of his "mommy", Cami. Acting a bit like an adorable pet, Chiqui likes physical contact, stroking, pats, and the like, and won't hesitate to try and get it from a friendly person. If he is really happy, he'll sing or hum something.
Abilities: Since he is so young, and likely to mature slowly, Chiqui doesn't have much in the way of abilities so far. Sometimes, his songs "weave" magic in the air and cause strange things to happen... unlock special doors, change temporarily part of a river, and the like. However, what is interesting to notice is that in The Real, he has become a well of storage of all types of energy, practically absorbing the creative energy in the air slowly, just by being there. This energy can become manifest in small fruits, each one with a different flavour, that give energy back to those who eat it, or heal their injuries.
Relationships:
Cami:
Chiqui views Cami as his mommy, and will often get her to carry him around. He will get coddled, scolded by and helped by his new mami, and he loves it, lapping the attention up. He desperately loves her with all the love that a baby can give, and often sings for her.
Citlali:
Citlali is considered more of an aunty, and while Chiqui likes her, he just likes Cami more. However, he considers her the safest person, in the sense of strength, and can often feel the radiation of power around her. He likes playing peek-a-boo with his aunty, and she likes eating his fruits to replenish the energy the fights take out of her and their surroundings.
______ the Nightmare Demon:
Chiqui doesn't really know how to deal with the demon, but he knows he likes mami too, so he doesn't mind playing with him. He just seems so scary at times... and quiet. Usually, Chiqui just doesn't deal with the guy, as he has two others to take care of him.
